Mike Dicken

Mike has a lot of experience to draw upon: He grew up mountain biking on the now-famous trails of his home state of Arkansas. He placed 23rd in the Tour Divide - a 2745-mile race from Canada to Mexico along the spine of the Rockies - in 2016. In 2019, he went on to place 3rd in the Arizona Trail Race 750 and then became the first-ever overall winner of the 1013 mile Arkansas High Country Race. He has toured coast-to coast on the Northern Tier and the length of the Baja Divide in Mexico. He can ride fast, and far, and he’s happiest when his legs are on fire.

But his decade of guiding experience, laid-back attitude, and good humor make him a fantastic guide for inexperienced riders, as well. He knows all our local trails, having a hand in building many of them, so he can easily assess a rider's skills and pick the optimal place to ride.

Mike is also certified in CPR and Wilderness First Aid, as well as being a BICP Level 1 cycling guide.

Thomas Pede

Thomas studied business and entrepreneurship while earning a B.A. at the University of Iowa, and has since applied those skills to operating three Lander-based businesses, including Sidetracks and Gannett Peak Sports. He’s been a cycling enthusiast for over a decade and has served various positions for the Lander Cycling Club, including serving as the President for two years.

He has also been an active participant in Lander Cycling Club trail-building projects on BLM and Shoshone National Forest trails. Currently, he is serving on the board of two tourism-focused entities: Destination Lander (a subcommittee of the Lander Chamber of Commerce) and the Wind River Visitors’ Council.

Thomas has also worked in bike shops since 2004 and owns more bikes than most people would call “reasonable.” He loves Lander and would be happy to show you around the riding our area has to offer.

Aaron Robson

Aaron grew up in Edmonton, Alberta, where he spent his free time hiking, scrambling, and skiing around the Canadian Rockies. His adventures over the years have taken him through the Himalayas, New Zealand’s Southern Alps, the Blue Mountains of Australia, and the Swiss Alps. After moving to Lander in 2016, he combined his experience as an elite distance runner with a long-standing love of the mountains and jumped into the world of mountain ultra running. He has logged hundreds of miles throughout the Wind River Range and developed an intimate knowledge of the region’s trails and off-trail adventure routes.

That experience, which he has put to use in setting some of the fastest known times in the area, including Wyoming’s tallest mountain Gannett Peak, Wind River Peak, and Cloud Peak. His race results include winning the 2019 Canadian Long-Distance Mountain Running Championships, along with wins and course records at races across Wyoming and Idaho.
